Too much of everything, really

Tue Oct 27, 2009, 9:58 AM

  • Reading: Ciril Kosmac-V gaju zivljenja-In the Grove of Life
  • Watching: Spirit - the Stallion of the Cimarron
  • Playing: Java games i get from my friends
  • Eating: dark chocolate
  • Drinking: Elderberry syrup. It's homemade. Yeah!
Haven't written a journal in a while, also haven't been submitting anything, because too much of stuff has been going on. In school the shoved us with project right away, tests are coming up, stuff like that... anyway. We went to the school in nature in the 1st week of october, and they had a half-domesticated fox at the hostel. I don't know if I should call it a hostel, because it's in the middle of nowhre, but anyway. It was in the Rakov Škocjan, where there are many karst phenomenas, like caves, natural bridges and stuff, so expect some pictaz soon. We also held a COMENIUS meeting at our school last week, and I was the 'official' photographer. It ain't much, but I got to go to museums and tours like that with the guests for free, saw Slovenia's first lady, you know.... Stuff like that. And my little half-sister is growing. She's just been 3 months old a few weeks ago, so she ain't gonna have cramps anymore. That means more peace. :)
And this week we have the autumn holidays. YAY!
And I also figured out that i cannot dance. Not that I wouldn't know how to dance, I just can't seem to bring myself to do it. Last year, when I was at the my first dance(it was in the aschol-in-nature), my father called that my great-grandma died. I haven't really been close to her, but it shocked me anyway, and since then, when ever there's a dance, I can't last there for a long time, because i'd probably sulk.
And now, there's the valeta coming up, it's a kind of a graduation party, just taht in secondary not high school (there's a different school system in Slovenia than in most other countries) there are dance practices, and I barely managed not to burst into tears in front of everyone. Everyone else seemed to be having the time of their lives (I was one of the rare that didn't manage to get a co-dancer. Thre was this one girl, who 'didn't dare' to ask me, others did it, i said yes, and then she danced with someone else). If there's anyone of you, who can't (not not want to, can't) dance, let me know, so I won't feel like a freak. :crying:
Enough of that. The band I was in has undergone changes, as the keyboardist and the bassist left us, as the lead guitarist didn't feel like playing anything hard. They're forming a new band, but yu have to be able to play the Highway star by Deep Purple to get in. Am gonna try. :) My camera is slowly starting to fail, so im thinking of buying a new one. Its gonna be a D-SLR this time, and currently i'm thinking about the Canon EOS500d, with some 28-270mm lenses. I know I saw some lenses with these specifications somewhere, and they're supposed to be good. I'm also going to try to get a macro lense and a flash gun, as the built in flash doesn't cut it anymore, and I don't feel like diffusing it with the cap of the lense making me look like a miser.
If you have any sugestions, tell me.
And also I noticed, that the sound of the 21st century breakdown album by Green Day reminds of that one on the Warning album. Especially Misery. And it pisses me off that they sold themselves to Michael Bay by playing 21 guns in the TF2. That's why I got into Dream Theater. :)
Altough the second part of the intro in these walls reminds me of the second part of the onee in Blackend (metallica) and the first asociation at The Answer Lies Within was Avril Lavigne (even tough like a hudred times better), they're hardcore not mainstream. They just lack some political and social-crytical lyrics. :lmao:
And i have watched the Spirit movie again. It's marvelous

Most of the time I try to be a better person, feel sorry for myself, try to be kind to everyone, appreciate art and the artists, do some myself, and so on. I hate teamsports, but I like running, swimming skiing... and I play floorball. The only team-sport I don't really hate.
I listen to metal and punk music (yeah, I know they don't fit together), but I like the metal for it's music itself and the sound of it, while I lik punk for it's charisma, meaningfull lyrics, and the drive to try to change the world. That also puts The Ramones, Some German punkers (die totten hosen are great!:)) and quite some others, who like to represent themselves as punkers, out of the picture.
No, punkers are NOT the pierced guys with moo-hawks. They are NOT. And Octavarium is one of the greatest works as a whole ever. EVER!
And the Green Day stopped being punkers the moment they sold themselves to Michael Bay. I mean, how could they?
I do also like to draw and take photos. Suposably, i'm quite good at those.

Art is like a soul. It is charming, yet sometimes confusing. It is lovely, yet hideous in many ways. Art is a part of our daily lives, but many of us never stop to see its beauty. If you think this is a shame, clap your hands -claps my hands-
